April 2026 — Zenflow Updates

April was a landmark month for Zenflow. We shipped Zenflow 2.0 with a completely new task model, a full integrations overhaul, automations, cross-model workflows, and much more. Here’s everything that landed.

Zenflow 2.0 — Code and Work Task Types

Simplified Task Model

A new dual-mode task system — Code tasks for development work, and Work tasks for research, writing, and general productivity.
Zenflow 2.0 introduces a simplified UX with two focused task types:
  • Code tasks for development workflows with full git integration
  • Work tasks for research, writing, and non-code productivity
  • Redesigned task creation with improved layout and UX
  • Inline rename for tasks via the actions menu
  • Keyboard shortcuts to start tasks and save drafts

Scheduled and Event-Driven Workflows

Create automations that run on a schedule or in response to events — no manual intervention needed.
Automations (formerly Flows) got a major upgrade:
  • In-task automations tab with redesigned automation cards
  • Automation templates for common workflows
  • Scheduled execution with improved reliability
  • Confirmation cards with auto-run support
  • Real-time UI updates for automation notifications

Multi-Model Pipelines

Chain different AI models together in a single task for better results.
Run tasks through multiple models in sequence — use one model for planning and another for implementation, or get diverse perspectives on the same problem.

  • Message shortcut context for quick task creation

Formatted Text in Chat and Tasks

Write with formatting — bold, links, lists, and more — in task creation and chat input.
Full rich text editing support in task descriptions and chat, including proper link handling and markdown formatting.
